DJP 09 by gina sekelsky studioAll I can really say about this (blah) page is that I was knee-deep (make that shoulder deep) in winter.  I started the week frustrated by the poor driving conditions (and when I say "poor," I really mean "hair-raising") and really just focused on getting through each of my turns in the carpool.  I ended the week realizing that I don't want to just survive winter; I want to embrace it.  I want to remember all the things I'll miss come summer.  So my final entry for the week is 10 Things I Love About Winter: *baking/using the oven *fresh, invigorating air when I'm walking *burrowing under a down comforter *no severe thunderstorms or tornadoes -- or mosquitoes *snowflakes are pretty *every year it's a new chance to learn to cross-country ski *hot cocoa + cider *stillness *the Winter Olympics *drying/warming mittens, hats, gloves, scarves on the radiator I've thought of even more things I love about this season since I wrote that entry, and I'm trying to start each day with holding a happy thought about winter.  (It helps that the roads are a lot clearer now, too.)

I don’t think it’s a blah page at all. It looks beautiful to me!! And a snowflake too. 🙂
