DJP 02b by gina sekelskyI am keeping up with my journal -- I'd go so far as to say I look forward to writing in it -- even if I don't make it as far as an actual post during the week.  (Do you ever have one of those days where you go out to where you thought you parked your car and it's not there and your first thought is that it was towed because you were parked there too long and then just as you're starting to panic you turn around and there's your car in a different spot which you moved to at the last minute because it was just a little bit closer?  This is why I usually walk to work.) DJP 02a by gina sekelskyI want to add here that this journal is not meant to be "perfect" -- in fact, I would not call it a lettering-project so much as a story-project.  Trying fun lettering styles & layout ideas will keep it fresh for me, but my real goal is to tell the story of my daily life.  So I do use pencil a bit here and there, but mostly I wing it (which you will see clearly next week when I show week three, where I made a little mistake I had to creatively work around). Happy weekend!
