cloud atlas For the 2014 Summer Reading Program, I'll be sharing the books I'm reading on Wednesdays. I have a little secret:  when I have lots of artwork manipulating to do with Photoshop, I stop at the library first and pick up a few movies to watch while I work.  A couple of weeks ago I watched Cloud Atlas, which was really not the best choice since I'm mostly "listening" to the movie, rather than watching it.  But the story was interesting, so I started reading the book last week. Have you read it?  I really want to like it, and I think I will once I'm a little more invested in it.  (That takes awhile since I am such a slow reader!)  I have a couple of other titles on my nightstand that I'm anxious to get to, so I'm hoping that will motivate me to read a little faster than usual.  I'd love to be in the middle of a book I can't put down!

Looking forward to your weekly book reviews! Is it possible to get an email ‘reminder’ when you post your reviews?

      Hi Alyssa,
When you leave a comment, there’s a little box below that you can check: “Notify me of new posts by email.” I typically post 2-3 times a week, one of which is the summer book review. Hope that helps! Gina

ah, I loved that book. it’s gorgeous in this massive yet intricate way. I haven’t seen the whole film yet, just pieces as my roommate had it on. someday I need to really watch it though.

So when I am done and I still don’t understand it all, you can explain it to me, right Amelia? There is just so much going on, I’m afraid I’m going to overlook something clever. 🙂
